My First Track & Field Meet of 2021, New Personal Record
My first meet of 2021 at Humble High School. After our first two meets were cancelled because of two winter storms here in Texas, we finally had some good weather. We opened up the season at the Humble High School Sub-Varsity meet. I competed in the 400m and the 4 x 400m Relay. In the 400m I set a new personal record of 54.74 and am the meet champion! Our team also won the 4 x 400m relay. All in All I would say my first meet of 2021 was great! Check out my races below.
I am really excited about the season and am looking to improve each week. More videos and images are available in my gallery. As a team Klein Collins swept the team championships. Freshman Boys, JV Boys, and JV Girls all claimed the meet championship. It was a really good opening for Klein Collins. But we still have work to do and I look forward to it.

ABOUT JONATHAN CARNES
I am a class of 2022 Klein Collins High School student. An aspiring business major and with a strong interest in competing in collegiate Track & Field. I have been competing in the sport of track and field since 7th grade. In 5th grade I ran club track medaled at the Junior Olympics in the 11-12 Boys 4 x 800M. Even when we are not training for school track, I am training with my parents on some of my off days. I give my all to each track event that I participate in. Also, I have received many compliments recognizing my speed, strength, and natural athletic ability. I am A well-rounded student maintaining a 3.2 GPA and also taking dual credit and AP classes.
